Cottontail Cutie Die-namics - MFT March Release Countdown - Day 2

Hello, friends!  Have you all been enjoying this month's release countdown?  I know that I have!  MFT never disappoints and I believe that you're going to love this die set that I have to share with you today!

It's called the Cottontail Cutie Die-namics and it creates the most adorable little bunny!  I have created a bunch of Easter gift bunnies to share with you today.

This bunny can actually be used for almost any holiday.  Pop a birthday hat on him/her and you can make birthday party favors.  Add a little Santa hat and you can make these for Christmas too!  The options are endless!

Because Easter is right around the corner, I went with an Easter-theme today and created my bunnies in a bunch of different pastel colors.  To start, I diecut all of my pieces using different colored card stock (colors listed in the links below).  I then quickly assembled my bunnies using some liquid adhesive.

I then created the little baskets on the back of each bunny.  These boxes were super easy to make!  I will list the measurements below and am working on a quick video tutorial to run you through the process.

Box Dimensions:

1. Trim a piece of card stock (I used white in my project) to 6" x 5.5" and another (for the basket
    handle) to 6" x 3.8"
2. On the 6" side, score at 2" & 4"
3. On the 5.5" side, score at 2" & 3.5"
4. Cut the tabs on the 6" side up to the middle

Once the first part is complete, you'll just need to add adhesive to the bottom of the two center flaps and attach two of the side pieces to them (as shown in the second photo on the top right).  Then do the same to the other side.  Lastly, add your basket strip and assemble your favor as you desire.
To create the strips, I simply trimmed Card Stock to 6" x 3/8" and then glued each piece into the little baskets to form a handle.

I filled each basket with some green Tissue Paper Grass and then added a chocolate carrot.  You can add whatever goodies you want!  Lastly, I added a little white cotton ball tail on to the back of each box to add some more interest.

This is such a fun little piece to create and will appeal to both kids and adults.  They also make great decorative pieces for your Easter parties!

Thanks so much for dropping by!  I hope you enjoyed these cute little bunnies today!

There are only 2 more days until the entire release becomes available to make it yours!  Make sure to stop by each countdown post on the MFT Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a $75 Gift Voucher!

All new products and new product links will be available this coming Tuesday, March 12th, at 10 AM EDT.

  2. These are so adorable Rachel. I wish I was still a room mother at my daughter's school. But, she is 45 now! My granddaughters live too far away, and sadly schools don't allow any unwrapped treats... I'll at least make some for home. Thanks for sharing this. I'll be back for the video.
