MFT Color Challenge #108 - Bear Hugs Enclosed

Hello friends!  Today starts a brand new Color Challenge (#108) from MFT Stamps!  I absolutely love this color combination.

The colors shown are After Midnight, Sweet Tooth, Cement Grey, and Tropical Teal.  You don't have to use the exact colors that are listed to enter the challenge but just create with similar colors that these ones inspire you to use.

I made a fun little box card for my take on this challenge.  For the box dimensions, you can refer to one of my previous posts HERE.  I stamped all of my images with Black Ink onto Smooth White Card Stock, colored with Copics and used their coordinating dies to cut them out.  I diecut a window out of the front of my box using the A2 Stitched Rectangle Die-namics and added a piece of acetate to the front.  I also added one more layer of acetate as the first "shelf" behind the window to add more dimension and depth to my water.  For my deep blue water, I blended some Distress Inks (Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire).

I added some snowy hills using the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics.  For the background of the card, I simply trimmed a piece of Blueberry Prestige Card Stock, heat embossed my sentiment with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and then drew in some snow with a White Gel Pen.

Come play along with us for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!  Stop by the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog to see what the rest of the participating team members have created!

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  Box cards really are so much fun.

MFT Stamps - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #417

Hello fellow crafters!  I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Christmas!  I am dropping by to quickly share the latest sketch challenge with you from My Favorite Things!

I have a fairly clean and simple card to share with you today.  I used the Tweet Holidays Set combined with the Gift Box Cover Up Die-namics for my winter-themed card.  Although the Tweet Holidays Stamp Set has a lot of holiday-themed sentiments, it's perfect for all winter-long.

For the background, I blended some Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks onto some Smooth White Card Stock.  Next, I used the Gift Box Cover Up Die-namics to diecut the rectangular pieces.  I then used the same Gift Box Die to cut out another piece from White Card Stock and used this piece as the frame.  Once my Gift Box Frame was glued into place, I then adhered the ink colored pieces into the white frame windows.

I then stamped my sentiment with Black Ink and added my images with 3D Adhesive Foam Squares.  I colored all of my images with Copic Sketch Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Here's a look at the sketch layout!  I encourage you to come join us and play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher.  Make sure to stop by the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog to see what the rest of the Design Team has created!

MFT Stamps - Wednesday Sketch Challenge #416

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  It's time for a new Sketch Challenge from MFT Stamps!

I used the newly released Tweet Friends Stamp Set for my card today.  First, I stamped all of my images onto Smooth White Card Stock with Black Ink and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I then diecut a scalloped panel from Ripe Raspberry Card Stock using the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. Next, I cut a stitched window in this panel using the Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle Die-namics.  I then added a background scene behind this window by blending some Distress Oxide Inks (Spun Sugar and Worn Lipstick) on top of the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil.

I added a strip of grass by die-cutting some white Card Stock with the Grassy Fields Die-namics and then blending this piece with Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Peeled Paint Distress Inks.  I then lightly splattered this piece with some Opaque White Paint to add some interest.  Once dry, I added all of my images using both liquid adhesive and/or 3D Foam Squares.

Lastly, I cut a strip of White Card Stock and stamped my sentiment with Black Ink and then added a silver sparkle heart using the little heart die from Blueprints 27.

I encourage you to give this sketch a try and come play along with us!  One random winner from all of the entries will be chosen to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher.

MFT Stamps - A Good Time to Wine Card Kit Release Day!

Hello everyone!  The Good Time to Wine Card Kit from MFT Stamps is now available in the MFT Boutique!  This kit is perfect for the upcoming new year or for an everyday greeting card.

My card today is a sparkly but simple congratulatory card which is mainly done with die-cutting.  The only stamping that I did on this card was the sentiment, which I heat embossed onto the base of my card with Fine Detail Gold Embossing Powder.

I used a piece of Grey Card Stock for the base and added two strips of Black Licorice Card Stock to form a top and bottom border on the card.  For the background, I diecut a circle using the Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and a sheet of Gold Sparkle Card Stock.

I diecut my two wine glasses from White Card Stock and added some deep red heart shaker embellishments to the Wine Shaker Pouches.  After I attached these to the card, I then added the word "Cheers" from both Red and White Card Stock using the Mondo Cheers Die that comes free with every $60 purchase and above while supplies last.
