Hello everyone! It's almost time for the MFT December Release to go live! My card today is special to me because I made it for a family member who is very dear to me that was recently diagnosed with cancer.
I combined both the new Beautiful Bloom and Beautiful Blessings 2 Stamp Sets because I feel that they go so perfectly with each other. I love the sentiments on the Beautiful Blessings 2 Set because they're so inspiring and versatile.
I was recently inspired by a card posted by Yana Smakula that showed how she colored on dark card stock with Prismacolor Pencils. I decided to give this technique a try since I really liked how her card turned out. You can find her video tutorial HERE.
I first started with a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of Gravel Gray Prestige Card Stock and heat embossed my flowers and leaves with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. I then used my Prismacolor Pencils to color in both the flowers and the leaves.
Colors Used:
- PC 1090 - Kelp Green
- PC 912 - Apple Green
- PC 913 -Spring Green
- PC 989 - Charteuse
- PC 1100 - China Blue
- PC 1101 - Blue Denim
- PC 1102 - Blue Lake
- PC 1024 - Blue Slate
- PC 1087 - Powder Blue
Once finished with the coloring, I added a strip of Vellum Paper on which I had heat embossed my sentiment with White Embossing Powder.
Lastly, I stamped the sentiment "Praying for You" on the inside panel of my card.
Only 24 hours left until this newest release becomes available! Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog and leave a comment there for a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher! Also, don't forget to check out the gorgeous designs from the rest of the team!

ReplyDeleteOh Rachel, what a gorgeous card! The blues look fantastic against the gray. Great execution of the technique by Yana. You are so talented. I'm sure your family member will be very touched by your thoughtfulness and I will think good thoughts that they make a full and complete recovery.
