MFT Stamps Hits & Highlights - Shake It Up

Hello, crafty friends!  For this month's MFT Stamps Hits & Highlights the Design Team was challenged to use the largest frame from the A2 Rectangle Frame Die-namics along with the A2 Rectangle Shaker Pouches.

I absolutely love the A2 Rectangle Shaker Pouches and Frame.  I recently made a few other cards using these same two pieces but for my card today, I went with the BB Mermazing Stamp Set.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets from Birdie Brown (truly, I love them all) and I had a lot of fun creating this underwater scene.

To start, I first created my background by blending some Distress Inks (colors listed above) onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock.  I splattered it with some water and then blotted it dry with a paper towel to create some more interest and an underwater effect.

I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink, colored them with Copic Sketch Markers, and used their coordinating dies to cut them out.  I used the Adorned Ocean Friends Stamp Set to heat emboss some underwater foliage in Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.  Once finished, I adhered my images with some liquid adhesive and then poured my embellishments carefully into the middle of the card.

I then was able to glue on both my Shaker Pouch and then Frame around the outer edge of my standard A2-sized card.

I just love the final effect!  I used a mixture of White Seed Beads and small clear sequins for my shaker embellishments.

MFT Stamps - Treat Bag Topper Kit Release Day!

Hello friends!  It's time to shop the MFT Treat Bag Topper Kit!  I had so much fun creating different treat bag toppers for this kit.

I used the Stacey Yacula Easter Bunnies Stamp Set for my treat bag toppers today.  I felt that these would be perfect as little Easter treat bags since the holiday is right around the corner.

I stamped my images with Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copics.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For the tags themselves, I used Homespun Gingham Paper Pack and added some Stitched Scallop Circles into the center of the toppers for some added interest.

I adhered my bunnies into the centers of these circles with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares and then added my sentiment from which I had diecut using the Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

This kit is available now, until supplies last, at a great bundle price!  I love how it comes with so many different treat bags!

Orders $60 and over get this cute little Gifty Greetings Die-namics FREE!

MFT Stamps Treat Bag Topper Kit - Day 2

Hello, crafty friends!  It's Day 2 of the latest My Favorite Things Kit Release Countdown!

When I create cards or crafts, there are a lot of times that my ideas come from things that I will actually use or things that my kids, friends, and/or family would like.

Today is one of those examples.  My kids are huge Minion fans and these treat bag toppers would be perfect for any Minion fan in your life!

They are super easy to make!  All you will need are the diecut pieces shown above. Supplies used will be shown in the list and also the photo links below.

1.  Use the Treat Bag Topper Die to cut some Lemon Chiffon Prestige Card Stock

2.  Combine the Stitched Circle Die-namics with one of the Circle STAX Die-namics
Set 2 with some Grout Grey Card Stock to make a stitched circular frame.

3.  Diecut a white circle using another Circle STAX Set 2 Die

4.  Diecut a smaller circle using Kraft Card Stock and the second to smallest die from the Circle
     STAX Die-namics Set 2

5.  Using the smallest die from the Circle STAX Die-namics Set 2, diecut a circle from Black
     Licorice Card Stock

6.  Use a regular sized hole puncher and White Card Stock to cut the smallest circle

7.  Using Blueprints 31, diecut the goggle piece from Black Licorice Card Stock

Prior to piecing it all together, I trimmed off the handle on top so that the Minion eye would take the place of the handle.

Here's what you get when you glue it all together!  Super fun and super easy!  I ended up adding some yellow half circles to some of the eyes for more variety.  Once done, I filled the treat bags with Hershey Whoppers Candy.

Needless to say, my kids were super excited when they saw these and now they all want Minon Birthday Parties this year (which we already did for my oldest son last year, lol).

I hope you are enjoying all of the Treat Bag Toppers idea being brought to you by team!  Make sure to check out everyone's ideas through the links from the MFT Blog!  Also leave a comment on the MFT Blog for a chance to win a $25 MFT Gift Voucher!

As always, thanks so much for stopping by!  If you liked these treat bags and want some more crafty inspiration, don't forget to check out my INSTAGRAM feed!
