Hello, friends! I have a fun ocean-themed card to share with you today featuring the gorgeous 'A Bottomless Sea' Stamp Set combined with the 'I Am A Mermaid' Set from Picket Fence Studios. (Affiliate links used.)
To start, I first blended some Distress Oxide Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire) onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with my Life Changing Blender Brushes. I then splattered this piece loosely with water and let it sit for a minute before gently blotting it with a clean, dry paper towel.
If you have never used any of the Life Changing Blender Brushes from Picket Fence Studios, then you're missing out! These are the perfect brushes for those of you that feel like you have a heavy hand when it comes to ink blending or if you want to achieve very light layers of ink to specific areas of your backgrounds without streaking. On my card today, I did a couple of quick and easy layers of ink in order to get some deeper hues of color. Click HERE for a post that I had shared a few months back that goes into more detail about these brushes.
Once my background blending was dry, I then used Clear Versamark Ink to heat emboss the bubbles from the 'A Bottomless Sea' Stamp Set onto the bottom portion of my sheet with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. These bubbles are just gorgeous! This stamp is super easy to use and adds so much detail and interest to your cards. I also used this same method to heat emboss my sentiment from the 'I Am A Mermaid' Stamp Set.
For my images, (also from the 'I Am A Mermaid' Set), I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto another sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers. I then cut them out to place them on my card with some 3D Foam Adhesive Tape for added dimension.
Copic Colors Used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E21, E11, E04
Tail: V000, V01, V04, V06, V09
Bikini Top: BG10, BG11, BG13, BG49, BG75
Hair: YR15, YR18, R29, R59
