MFT October Release Countdown - Day 4

Hello everyone!  It's Day 4 of the MFT Stamps October Release Countdown!  I have the latest and amazing Birdie Brown Stamp Set to share with you today!

It's called "Secret Santa" and it's one of the most adorable Christmas Sets that I've had the pleasure of working with.  I really wanted to create a fun scene with this set, so I opted for a Floating Floor Card Design.  This is one of my favorite types of card to make, but it is a little bit more time consuming than other types, so I don't get a chance to do it that often.

For my card dimensions, you can check out one of my previous posts HERE.  All of my images were stamped onto Smooth White Card Stock, colored with Copics and cut out with their coordinating dies.  For my floor, I used a sheet of the Neenah Environment Desert Storm Card Stock and stamped it in Chocolate Brown Ink using the Wood Plank Background Stamp.

I added a cat and some end tables from the BB Our Story Stamp Set and a strand of Christmas lights from the Happy Pawlidays Set.

For my windows, I used the Classic Window Die-namics.  I wanted to create a Christmas Morning sky with some light snowfall when peeking through the windows.  To do so, I blended some Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Spun Sugar Distress Inks and splattered them with some white paint.  Once dry, I added some snow drifts and snowy pine trees from the new Mountain High Die-namics.

I then placed these pieces behind each window after adding a piece of acetate to resemble glass window panels.  For the window frames, I diecut them from Kraft Card Stock and then blended them lightly with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink for a more rustic look.

I went with a very simple look for the outside of my card using the newest Candy Land Patterned Paper Pad and a decorated belly band.  I have a short video (below) of this card in action.

Don't forget to stop by the MFT Blog for some more inspiration and a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher!  All new products and new product links will be available this coming Tuesday, October 10th at 10AM EDT.
