Layton's Legacy Blog Hop

Hello friends!  Today I have a very special and important blog hop to share with you.  This hop has been organized by fellow crafter, Lea Lawson, in memory of her sweet baby son, Layton.

Layton's Legacy

Lea has created this blog hop with the purpose of raising money to for other NICU parents as they find themselves suddenly thrust into NICU life.  You can read Lea's touching and emotional story HERE.

The cards that we share with you today will also be handed out to these families along with the gift cards.

Learn how you can help participate in this card drive and/or donate to this worthwhile cause on the Layton's Legacy YouCaring site

Here's a look at the list of amazing sponsors that Lea has lined up!  It would be wonderful if you, fellow card makers, would join in on this cause or just simply pass Layton's story on to friends and family.

For my card today, I was inspired by this woodland-inspired mood board that was created for Layton's Legacy Card Drive.

I used the Sweet Forest Friends Set for this fun pop up box card.  I stamped all of my images with black ink onto smooth white card stock and colored with Copics.  Once done, I then diecut these images with their coordinating dies.

You can also head on over to the MFT Challenge Blog for more details on how to help support these families and see what the rest of the participating DT Members have created.  Even just sending a handmade card can go a long way.  It may not always be obvious, but sometimes the littlest things can make the biggest impression.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Rachel
