Hello crafty friends! It's time for the latest Weekly Sketch Challenge from MFT Stamps! I had the privilege last week to spend a day at the MFT Boutique and learn some no-line coloring techniques from the very talented (and also MFT Design Team Member) Jane Allen. I'm not sure that talented completely describes Jane's work; it's truly breathtaking!
Now, obviously, I'm not Jane, but I had so much fun with this technique, that I wanted to give it a try on my own. I have to admit, it's not the easiest thing I've ever done but I'm happy with the results.
I used my Copic Sketch Markers to color these fun little chicks from the BB Birthday Chicks Stamp Set. I first stamped my images with Grout Grey Hybrid Ink onto smooth white Card Stock.
Once colored, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and then added some details with a white gel pen.

I used the Stitched Scallop Basic Edges Die-namics to create my V-shape top portion of the card and added some light blue polka dot patterned paper from the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Pastel Paper Pack to the bottom portion of my card.
Here is photo of this week's sketch.
Come join in on the fun for a chance to win an MFT Gift Voucher! Winner is chosen randomly among the entries, so everyone has a chance to win. Also, check out the MFT Challenge & Inspiration Blog to see what other fun creations the rest of the participating DT Members have come up with!
