MFT July Card Kit Release Day!

Hello crafty friends!  The Bundle of Balloons Card Kit is now available at the MFT Boutique!  You're going to love this kit!  And when I say that the glitter paper that comes with this kit is gorgeous, it's seriously gorgeous!


For my card today, I used one of the boys from the BB Little Buddies Stamp Set and added a few of my favorite balloons (the circular shaped ones) from the kit.  I love that you can add these balloons to just about any MFT Stamp Set that you own.


I wanted to keep my card simple and let the happy boy with his balloons be the focal point.  I first stamped his image onto smooth white card stock, colored him with Copics and used the coordinating die to cut him out.  I then quickly blended a few blue and warm grey Copic Markers to create a quick background.


For my balloons, I diecut four of them onto Smooth White Card Stock and then blended on some Distress Inks to color them.

Distress Inks Used:
  • Red Balloon:  Abandoned Coral and Candied Apples
  • Green Balloon: Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn
  • Blue Balloon: Cracked Pistachio and Salty Ocean
  • Yellow Balloon: Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber
I added some balloon strings by stamping them with some Gravel Grey Premium Dye Ink and then added my images with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares.  Lastly, I added a few details with a White Gel Pen and stamped my sentiment with Black Ink.

    That little boy looks so much like my grandson Miles. He LOVES kitties and is always trying to talk my allergic daughter into getting one :) Great job!

    Adorable card! Thank you for listing which Distress Inks you blended for each balloon. They are all stunning, I could not believe the blue is Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon, I definitely have to try that :)
