Flower Silhouettes Card Kit | MFT Stamps

Hello!  First, I want to wish a very Happy Easter to all those who celebrate!  Secondly, I have a card to share with you today that features the brand new Flower Silhouettes Card Kit from MFT Stamps.

This kit is filled with beautiful floral silhouettes and coordinating dies.  For my card today, I first created an ink blended background using some Distress Oxide Inks (Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers, and Salty Ocean) and a sheet of smooth white card stock.  Once dry, I splattered this piece with some Opaque White Paint.

I then cut these pieces into even strips (approximately 1 5/8" x 4") and next heat embossed a different floral silhouette onto each strip with some Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.  Once finished, I then adhered these pieces onto a horizontal A2-sized card base.

Lastly, I heat embossed my sentiment from the Essential Sentiments Stamp Set onto a strip of Black Licorice Card Stock and attached it to my card with some liquid adhesive.

This beautiful kit will be available this coming Tuesday, April 23rd at 10 AM EDT.  Head on over to the MFT Blog to see more inspiration from the rest of the team.  Don't forget to leave a comment there for a chance to win an MFT Gift Voucher!

As always, thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!  If you liked this card and want some more crafty inspiration, don't forget to check out my INSTAGRAM feed!

Best Fishes - Sunny Studio Stamps

Hello everyone!  I'm really excited to share with you the brand new Best Fishes Stamp Set from Sunny Studio Stamps.  It's my first card for the newest summer release that debuted last week.  I absolutely adore all of these cute little beach and sea creatures!

I created a fun little box card to share with you today that showcases this set.  To start, I first created the base of my card with a scoring board, scissors, paper trimmer and adhesive.  When folded, this card fits perfectly into a standard A2 sized envelope.

I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock.  I used my Copic Sketch Markers to color everything and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

For my waves, I blended some Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks and then used the new Catch A Wave Dies to cut them out.  I also added some sandy beach portions using the little island from the Island Getaway Stamp Set as well as the Ocean of Joy Stamp Set.  I used some patterned paper from the new Summer Splash Paper Pack for the background clouds as well as the side panels on my card.

I added two different palm trees using both the brand new Sending Sunshine Stamp Set and the Seasonal Trees Stamps.  For my sentiment, I heat embossed it onto a strip of black card stock and then trimmed it with my paper trimmer.  I placed it on two colored pieces of brown card stock to make it look like a banner being held by the cute little crab and the lobster.

I hope you enjoyed my card today!  If you liked this card and want some more crafty inspiration, don't forget to check out my INSTAGRAM feed!

Hi Sweet Friend - MFT Stamps Wednesday Sketch Challenge #433

Hello friends!  It's time for the newest Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things!

The options with this sketch are pretty much endless.  The wide oval in the center leaves a lot of room for the imagination!  For my card today, I combined an owl from the Forever and Owlways Stamp Set with the cute little squirrels from the BB Fall Friends Set.

For the background, I cut a piece of Kraft Card Stock to 4.25" x 5.5" and stamped it in Hot Fudge Premium Dye Ink using the BG Whimsical Woodgrain Background Stamp.  I then diecut a circle in the center using the Inside & Out Stitched Oval STAX Die-namics.

Behind the oval, I adhered a panel of Smooth White Card Stock that I had blended with Salty Ocean Distress Ink using the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil.  I stamped all of my images with Copic friendly Black Ink, colored them with Copics and used their coordinating dies to cut them out.

Here's this week's sketch layout.  Come play along with us for a chance to win an MFT Gift Voucher!  Make sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see what the rest of the participating DT Members have come up with!

MFT Stamps Color Challenge #115 - I Love You Sow Much

Hello!  It's time for a new Color Challenge from My Favorite Things!  I have a fun little card to share with you today that features the newest stamp set released by Stacey Yacula.

If you haven't yet checked out the new Piggy Pebbles Stamp Set, I highly recommend it!  These cute little pigs can be used for all seasons and are so easy to color.  For my little pig today, I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock.  I then used some Copics (R000, R00, R11, and E33) to color him.

The colors for Color Challenge #115 are Grout Gray, Peach Bellini, Blue Breeze, and Cornflower.  You don't have to use these exact colors for the challenge but just ones that this palette inspires you to use.

For my card background, I blended some Distress Oxide Inks (Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, and Faded Jeans) for my sky.  I then splattered this blended area with some water and patted it dry with a paper towel.  For the ground area, I lightly blended some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink.  For my raindrops and rain puddle, I used the stamps included in the set and heat embossed them with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder once my ink-blending was dry.

I then cut this panel out with one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it to a patterned paper base with some 3D Foam Adhesive.  Lastly, I attached my pig using some 3D Foam Squares for some added dimension.

Head on over to the MFT Blog for more inspiration!  Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher! (Winner chosen randomly).

April Release - MFT & Friends

Hello friends!  It's time to shop the April Release from My Favorite Things!  I hope you have enjoyed all of the projects that the team has brought you over the past few days!  I have one more card to share with you from this month's amazing product selection.

I've created a bright and colorful card today featuring the Pure Innocence Bundles of Love and Scene Builder Stamp Sets.  I used this same Scene Builder Stamp Set earlier this past week but went for a softer look.  Today, I wanted that background to really pop, so I added more vibrant colors.

I played around with the stamps from the Scene Builder Set to come up with this fun background.  I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and used Copic Sketch Markers to color everything.

It's amazing how much the scene comes to life with just a little bit of color!  I used YG01, YG05, YG06, YG13, YG17, and YG67 for the grass, leaves, and trees.

For the sky, I blended some Blue Green Copic colors (BG000, BG01, BG02).  I added a few details of grass and used a White Gel Pen to add some added interest.  For my sentiment, I heat embossed it with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

For my girl, I used E0000, E000, E21, E11, and E04 for her skin.  I blended B0000, B000, B00, B01, and B02 for her dress.  For her hair, shoes, and basket, I used E41, E42, E44, E47, and E49.

I added a white frame using the A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics and then adhered my girl to the front of my card with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares.

Here are all of the projects that I created using this month's new release!  For a chance to win 1 of 2 $100 MFT Gift Vouchers, make sure to leave a comment on each of the Design Team Member's Product Launch Post!  You can find a link to everyone through the MFT Blog.

Stitched Ric Rac Die-namics - MFT April Release Countdown - Day 1

There are only 24 more hours until the April Release from MFT Stamps becomes available!  I have another card to share with you today that features a few of the new products.

Are you a fan of Ric Rac Ribbon?  The Stitched Ric Rac Die is so much fun!  And it's currently FREE while supplies last with purchases of $60 and up!  I used it to create this easy two-toned background.

I diecut a few strips of both Berrylicious and Sour Apple colored Card Stock using the Stitched Ric Rac Die.  I then glued them to a piece of 4.25" x 5.5" Smooth White Card Stock, as shown above.

I then trimmed off the excess and ended up with a fun piece of Ric Rac Patterned Paper.

I then added a scalloped circle in the center of my card using the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle STAX Die-namics.  I stamped my sentiment onto this piece in Black Ink along with some scenery stamps from the new Sweetest Somebunny Set.

The cute little rabbit also came from the Sweetest Somebunny Stamp Set.  I stamped him in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Copics (E50, 51, 53, 55, 57).  I used the coordinating dies to cut him out.  The kite came from the BB Adorable Elephants Set.

All new products and new product links will be available tomorrow, April 9th, at 10AM EDT.  Head on over to the MFT Blog and leave a comment for a chance to win a $75 MFT Gift Voucher!
