Fill the Season with Warm Memories - MFT & Friends

Hello friends!  I love the MFT & Friends Feature every month.  This is where the MFT Design Team and a number of Guest Designers are challenged to look at the latest release with a fresh set of eyes and come up with more crafty inspiration!

For my card today, I paired two of the newest Stamp Sets together to create my fun Fall scene.  I used both the BB Fall Friends and PI Sending Blessings Sets.  I first stamped my images onto some Smooth White Card Stock and colored with Copics.  I used the coordinating die to diecut my images and then set them aside to work on the background.

I created a simple background by blending a small area with some Salty Ocean Distress Ink (for the sky) onto some Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock.  I then used a mixture of gold Copic tones to color in my ground area.  Once dry, I cut this piece out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies from the Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 1.  I then glued this panel to a 4.25" x 5.5" piece of yellow patterned paper from the Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Paper Pack.

I love the small branchy tree from the PI Sending Blessings Set.  In my card today, I simply rotated it 90 degrees to make it look like a tree branch with falling leaves.  I used 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to attach my images for some added dimension.

MFT Stamps - Just Add Color

Hello friends!  For today's MFT Stamps Just Add Color Feature, I have three colored stamp sets to share with you from the latest release.  And as I like to mention every time, I am not a coloring expert but I love to share the colors that I used so that it may help give people an idea of where to start or what color combinations they may or may not like.  Everybody is different and has different coloring preferences.

The first is the "BB Fall Friends" Stamp Set.  This set is perfect for Fall or Winter depending on what images you choose...and those cute little squirrels can be used pretty much any time of the year.  For all of the images, I stamped them onto Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, colored them with Copic Sketch Markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

The next set is the newest Pure Innocence Stamp Set called "Sending Blessings".

MFT September Release Product Launch!

Hello crafty friends!  The time has finally come to make the newest MFT Stamps release yours!  There are so many amazing options to choose from that it's hard to pick just one!

I made a fun Pop Up Box card today using the new Playful Giraffes Stamp Set.  These giraffes are so cute!  They're also super easy to work with! 

Most of the coloring is already done for you!  So for my card today, I simply added some shading over the stamped image in some brown and yellow tones.  I ended up stamping my giraffes in black ink for this card, but brown would work as well.

For the box portion of my card, I used a paper trimmer, scoring board, scissors and some adhesive.  For my dimensions, you can check one of my older blog posts HERE.  I added some grass using the Grassy Edges Die-namics.  To do so, I cut each grass piece from some Smooth White Card Stock and blended them with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks.

For the background sky, I blended some Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Inks and added a few splatters of Opaque White Paint for some added interest.  I also added some safari-like trees from the Aussie Animals Stamp Set (colored with Copics and cut out with their coordinating dies). 

I added my sentiment by heat embossing it with White Detail Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black Licorice Card Stock and cutting it out with one of the Essential Fishtail Sentiments Die-namics.  I used the new Dots Patterned Paper Pack to decorate my side panels and lastly added a few sweet little flowers from the Playful Peacock Set.

MFT September Countdown Release - Day 1!

It's almost time!  Only 24 more hours to go until the latest MFT Stamps Product Release becomes available!  This release is jam-packed with a ton of crafty goodies.  Do you have a favorite item that you can't wait to buy?

I have a beautiful Happy Birthday Script Die-namics to share with you today.  I absolutely love the font on this set.  It's so gorgeous!  I diecut it from a green sheet of the new Mermaid Glitter Card Stock.  It's hard to tell from the picture, but it's so shimmery and beautiful.

To start, I first stamped my images with black ink onto smooth white card stock and colored them with Copics.  I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I then blended some Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Inks onto a 4.25" x 5.5" sheet of smooth card stock and splattered it with some Opaque White Paint.

I added some balloons from the fun Bundle of Balloons Die-namics by diecutting some balloons from some smooth white card stock and blending them with Distress Inks.

• Blue Balloon: Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean
• Pink Balloon: Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry
• Yellow Balloon: Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber
• Green Balloon: Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn

I stamped the balloon strings from the Bundle of Balloons Stamp Set with some Steel Grey Ink.  Lastly, I made this into a fun but subtle shaker card by diecutting the birthday script into my panel, adding some clear acetate and 3D foam tape to the back of this panel along with some Sparkling Crystals for embellishment.  I then glued my green shimmery diecut on top of the acetate window in the front of the card.

MFT September Release Countdown - Day 2!

There are only two more days left until the newest release from MFT Stamps becomes available!  The set that I want to share with you today is so adorable.  I know I say that about a lot of MFT Stamp Sets, but it's true!  And if you've been a follower of MFT Stamps for awhile now, you know how many amazing stamp and die-namics sets that they have.

I have a fun little Shadow Box Card to share with you today featuring the new Woodland Friends Stamp Set.  They are just so sweet!  I wanted to create a fun 3D little forest scene.  I first created my Shadow Box (A2 sized when collapsed) with a scoring board, paper trimmer and strong adhesive.  Once I had my two panels cut (the front and the back), I used the Inside & Out Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics to diecut a window in the front of my card.

I then stamped my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  I used the coordinating die set to cut them out.

I used the Gumdrop Green Card Stock for both the box portion and the grass sections of my card.  For my cloudy sky, I blended some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.  I added a few trees using the Birch Trees Die-namics (which I had blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink) and some grass using the Grassy Edges Die-namics.  I heat embossed my sentiment with Detail White Embossing Powder.

MFT September Release Countdown - Day 3!

Hello friends!  Are you enjoying all of the newest MFT Product reveals so far?  I am so excited to share with you the latest Pure Innocence Stamp Set today!  It's called "Sending Blessings" and it's such a sweet set.

I absolutely love this set and the Fall tree and leaves that come with it are perfect for this time of the year.  To start, I stamped my images with Copic friendly Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I first diecut a sheet of smooth white Card Stock with the Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 2. I then created a simple background for my card (similar to the one I created yesterday) with some Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon) for the sky and Warm Grey Copic Sketch Markers for the ground.

Once the background was complete, I added my images with some foam adhesive squares for some added dimension.  I also drew in some "wind lines" with a fine-tipped black marker.  I used my Misti to stamp my sentiment with Black Ink.

Lastly, I mounted this front panel to a  5 3/8' x 4 1/8" piece of Kraft Card Stock and an A2 top folding base made from Gumpdrop Green Card Stock.

MFT September Release Countdown - Day 4!

Hello crafty friends!  I'm back today with some more brand new MFT goodies!  Today, I am sharing a card that features the latest Birdie Brown Stamp Set!  This adorable set is called "Fall Friends" and it has the cutest images that are perfect for the upcoming season.

I first stamped my images onto Smooth White Card Stock and colored them with Copics.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  I then diecut a piece of white card stock using the Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics Set 2 and used this piece to create my simple background.

For my background, I masked off the "ground" and then blended some Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon) for the sky.  I used some Warm Grey Copics to quickly draw in the ground.

Lastly, I adhered my images to the front of my card with some 3D Foam Squares for some added dimension.
