Hello friends! It's time for a new Color Challenge from My Favorite Things! It's always so much fun to play around with each color scheme.
MFT Color Challenge 90 |
This week's color challenge features Cement Grey, Peach Bellini, Coral Crush and Blue Breeze. You don't need to use these exact colors for the challenge, but something similar or something they inspire you to use. Head on over to the MFT Challenge Blog for more details on how to join in on the fun.
For my card today, I used the gorgeous Splendid Swans stamp set. I first stamped my images onto smooth white card stock and colored with Copics (all colors listed at the very bottom of this post). I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. For the base of my card, I created a top-folding A2 sized card from white card stock. I then die cut a piece of Blue Breeze Card Stock from both the large stitched scallop rectangle die from Blueprints 27 Die-namics and also the Jumbo Peek-a-Boo Circle Die-namics.
I then used a piece of water color paper for the sunset background and blended a few Kuretake Gansai water colors (Dark Pink, Cornflower Blue, Lemon Yellow and White) to create my sky. I stamped my sentiment in black ink and attached my swans with a few 3D Foam Square Adhesives. I also used some foam mounting tape to adhere my entire panel onto my white A2 card base to add a little more dimension. Lastly, I added a few Iridescent Bubbles for some added interest. (I absolutely LOVE these little bubbles. The pictures don't do them justice).
That's all for today! Come play along with us for a chance to win an MFT Gift Voucher! I can't wait to see what you create!
Hope you all have a lovely day!
Happy card making!
