Hello everyone! It's time for another Weekly Wednesday Sketch Challenge over at My Favorite Things!
I decided to flip my version of this week's sketch (#376) and instead of using straight lines, I used puffy clouds and I substituted the dragon instead of the circle. I absolutely love this dragon from the BB Magical Dragons Stamp Set. I stamped him with black ink onto some Neenah Solar White 110lb smooth card stock and colored him with my Copics. The colors that I used are shown in the product list at the bottom of this post.
I used the coordinating dies to cut him out. I then blended an inky sky background using some Distress Oxide Inks (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean and Blueprint Sketch). I splattered some opaque white paint on top of this blend and let it dry.
I used the Stitched Cloud Edges Die-namics for my puffy white clouds and (following the sketch) added a small shimmery silver cloud lining to the cloud border on top. I stamped my sentiment onto the bottom cloud border and then attached both to my A2 sized card base with some 3D foam adhesive. I also used some foam squares to add my dragon.
