Lawn Fawn Fairy Friends Box Card

Hello friends!  I honestly can't believe that it's the last day of August already!  This year (at least for me) has just flown by!  I'd love to share with you a fun and magical birthday box card that I made for my niece's 4th birthday.  Now, I have to be honest.  Her birthday was a few weeks ago.  I am so terribly late in getting this out to her!  I've had this design in my mind for awhile now, so I'm glad that I finally had the chance to make it for her!

I first created the box base by following THIS TUTORIAL by Splitcoaststampers.  I make a few of my own changes, but for the most part, the box is pretty similar to their design.  The cute little fairies are from the Fairy Friends Stamp Set by Lawn Fawn.  I paired this set with the Gleeful Gardens Stamp Set, also by Lawn Fawn.   In addition to the Lawn Fawn stamp sets, I used the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow Petite Paper Pack to decorate the side panels of the box. 

I first stamped all of my images onto white cardstock and then colored them with Copic Sketch Markers.  I've listed all of the colors that I used at the end of this blog post.  I then used the coordinating dies to cut them out.  For the grass, I used the Grassy Fields Die-Namics by My Favorite Things.  To color the grass, I blended some Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Forest Moss Distress Inks and then used some Copics (YG07, YG09, and G09) to highlight the grass.

 

I then adhered all of my pieces to the "shelves" inside the box.  To make the fairies look like they were flying, I attached them using a few pieces of strong clear acetate.  It's hard to see in the pictures, but I added some shimmer to the fairies wings and the flowers using my Clear Wink of Stella Brush Marker Pen.  Lastly, I stamped my sentiment to a white strip of cardstock and then glued it to the front flap of the box.
