MFT August Release Countdown - Day 5!

Hello friends!  Is it just me or does time feel like it's flying by lately?  The good thing about that is that it's time for another release from My Favorite Things!  Every month I wonder how they're going to top the previous one but as always, this one is full of a lot of fun and gorgeous new products!

My card today features the new and gorgeous Painted Poppies Stamp Set.  These flowers are just so lovely that I couldn't pass up making a project with them.

I veered from my usual comfort of Copics and decided to use my Kuretake Zig Clean Watercolor Brush Pens to color my images.  I stamped my images onto some Ranger Watercolor Card Stock with some waterproof black ink.  I used the masking process to create my simple flower scene so that my card is a single layer card.

Once my ink was dry, I used my Watercolor Brush Pens to color it.

Zig Colors Used:
  • Poppies: 024, 022, 020, 023,052, 050
  • Leaves & Stems: 053, 046, 043
  • Yellow Centers: 051
Once done, I then stamped my sentiment from the "More Essential Sentiments" Set with the same waterproof black ink.  Lastly, I added some enamel dots for some added interest.

Only 5 more days until the new release becomes available!  All new product links below will be activated at that time too.
