Stamps of Life - Sizzix Border Words Set

I absolutely love all of the new Sizzix Dies that Stephanie Barnard has designed this season.  And two new ones have been released today at a special FLASH SALE price on The Stamps of Life website! They are called the Sizzix Border Words Die Set and the Sizzix Thank You Drop-in Set (which I will blog about separately).

I used the Sizzix Border Words "Life Is Sweet" Die for the card shown above.  Also included on this card are some scrumptious strawberries that I stamped and colored (with my copics R17, R46 and R59) using TSOL morestrawberries2stamp stamp and die set.  I used a white gel pen to add some little white dots to the strawberries in hopes of making them look more realistic.  For the leaves, I diecut them on TSOL Kiwi Cardstock and then used a blending tool to add Kiwi Ink on the top of the leaf and Green Apple Ink along the edges.  The patterned paper if from TSOL "Me & You" Collection which should be available for purchase within the next few weeks.

For my second card, I used the "You Are Beautiful" Border Word Die.  Both border word dies come together as a set, so it's a really good deal!  For the base of my card, I used the Sizzix Royal Stand-Ups Card Die Set.  I added some patterned paper from TSOL "Thank You" Collection.  For the blue background, I blended some Sky Blue Ink around the edges of the piece of blue paper.  The ladybugs were stamped from the Ladybugs2love stamp set and cut with their coordinating dies.  I also colored these with Copic Markers (R17, R46 & R59) before diecutting them.  I used the Sizzix Rectangle/Gift Card Flip-its Card Die Set to die cut some large flowers with white cardstock.  Once cut, I then blended some Lemonade Ink around the edges to give them a little more depth.

These dies really are amazing!  They make cardmaking so easy...especially when you're in a pinch and need to make a card quickly.  Not many of us have a lot of free time into making very tedious cards, right?  Quick and simple, yet elegant!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today!  I hope you all have a wonderful day! :0)

  1. These are beautiful. I never even thought to use the die on a stand-up card. Love your color combinations, too:)
